ABOUT US
London School opened in 2004 with one centre and two staff and has grown up to three centres (San Bernabé, La Ermita and Salesianos) with almost 25 staff members. The majority of our teachers work full-time but we also offer part-time contracts as well.
We teach general English, ESP, Business English (in Company, so be ready to move), Skype Lessons and 1-to-1 tuition. We are an official Cambridge Exam preparation centre from YLE Starters to adults C2 level classes. In fact, we are the only Language Centre in the area with the Cambridge Achievement Award.
Our San Bernabé Centre has 8 classrooms and our Ermita Centre has 6 classrooms equipped with wifi, interactive whiteboards, projectors and high quality sound systems, as well as air conditioning. In addition, our new centre in Salesianos Algeciras is running several groups at the moment and the plan is to grow for next year.

WHAT WOULD MY LIFE BE LIKE IN ALGECIRAS?
Algeciras is a dynamic and Cosmopolitan city with a very lively community. The nightlife certainly has a lot to offer from delicious tapas to lively pubs and clubs in a city with quite an acceptable cost of living.. You can´t miss the nearby beaches and variety of shops in the area (Tarifa is only 30 minutes away). Furthermore, the Andalucian culture can be experienced at its best in this area with wonderful beaches, really amaizing towns to visit (Ronda, Castellar, Vejer…), and the African Continent just a few minutes away, not to mention Gibraltar….Flamenco and bullfights (especially in Feria), are a particular passion here.
Not only are Algeciras and London School great places to live and work, they are also an ideal place to start, continue or perfect your Spanish level.
Cadiz´s coastline is known as Costa de la Luz, due to the large number of sunshine hours you can enjoy.
Sitting in the far south-western corner of Andalucía, between Málaga and Sevilla and really close to Morocco, Some beaches in the area are one of the last few coastal gems of Andalucía yet to be found by significant numbers of tourists, still with virgin areas, perfect to practice surf, windsurf, kite, scuba diving, or simply chilling out surrounded by wonderful landscapes.
Job Information
This post involves teaching Young Learners aged 4 – 17, General English to Adults, exam preparation courses for KET, PET, FCE, CAE and CPE. Candidates must be willing to teach on a range of these course types.
The centre runs a professional development programme where teachers attend workshops (in-house and external training) and sharing sessions. We are a Certified Cambridge Preparation Centre in ALGECIRAS.
We are interested in hiring teachers for our classes at our 3 centres, as well as for our in-company and Skype lessons.

Requirements
- The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of teaching experience, preferably within the framework of the Cambridge Exams.
- Experience with Business English, teaching in-company is a plus (not mandatory).
- Have native or near native speaker level (IELTS level 9 or Cambridge C2)
- University degree or equivalent – desirable
- TEFL certificate (i.e. CELTA or Trinity Cert TESOL)
- Experience teaching English at all levels and preferably YLE – desirable
- Be flexible, talented and highly motivated.
- Have the legal right to work in Spain (EU passport holder preferable although non-EU passport holders will be equally considered)
- Pre-Intermediate or Intermediate knowledge of Spanish would be an advantage
